It takes a lot for me to buy a game when there are plenty of time wasters at the iTunes App store for FREE.  But after a friend of mine showed me this game, I was immediately in love with it.  Finally, a tower defense game for the iPhone. (for $4.99USD)

FieldRunners has 3 difficulty settings (easy, normal, hard) and only 4 different types of towers.  Each type of tower can be upgraded twice. If you’ve played tower defense type games, then this game is a sinch to pick up.  If you haven’t, the simple instructions tell you how to play. Just a quick tip for the tower defense noobs out there, try to make a maze with your towers so you can reuse each tower 2 to 3 times.

2 more screens after the break.

At this time, I do not know how many levels/waves there are, I’ve only made it up to level/wave 43 on Hard mode.  I haven’t tried easy or normal difficulty yet.  (Them Ninja-Bear-Tanks are tough!)  If you pick up this game and get a high score, post a screen shot of it in the comments below! I would like to see what other types of waves there are past 43.
