After Thanksgiving lunch, everyone was just lying around. I got bored and went to my computer room. In there I saw my cousin browsing his MySpace friends. Here’s what he showed me.
CAUTION: You may get a Pokemon seizure.

Shouldn’t some of them have a warning about flashing lights or something? I mean what happens if an innocent epileptic Myspace user clicks on their profile? Not only will they be put into a seizure but they’ll be deafened with crappy music you just can’t get away from.

Dude,
sorry but your motivation for why myspace sucks is at most biased based and fuelled by your own “professional” ego. Slagging others off because they don’t conform to your standards is lame.
I agree, those profile pages sucked and, if I’m not mistaken, can actually be a health hazard – but there are a couple of well-designed pages. Plus myspace has the added benefit that people get to learn some basic code – those who put in the effort to actually edit it (their profile pages) themselves and not just have it generated.
Basically, what I got from your video is:
- Make text clearly visible so that people can read it.
- Stay away from animated GIFs
- Have some info that others can use.
- You hate techno. Don’t worry, me too.
Now I’m only commenting on this because I followed a link from SEOmoz and actually expected something that will be useful to me. I’m going to have a look around your site and see if it will be worth my while. But the interesting thing to note here is because you had a video that only exhibited your displeasure rather than be informative, I’ll think twice about following a link from SEOmoz next time. Mind, I’m wondering if SEOmoz is at all the authority I thought it was (was a first visit to that site).
No harsh feelings intended man – just thought I’d say.

You are correct. I prefer http://www.putiton.com for all music and art related business. Yeah… and I’m guilty of facebooking :)

So… http://www.putiton.com eh????? Doubt you work for them ;) haha. Anyways, I checked it out and it does indeed look better than myspace. Perhaps I’ll set up a profile before it gets too popular and turns into myspace2.0
