Machinima.com Bringing the Art Form Further into MainStream

Thu, Dec 18, 2008

The art form using computer and video games as the main platform of animation is rapidly growing.  It all started from the “Diary of a Camper.” Since then, people have been making short films with computer and video games.  But it didn’t rapidly start growing until more advancements of technology were made for recording.  The biggest machinima made so far is the South Park episode “Make Love, Not Warcraft.“  Now, Kotaku is reporting that Machinima.com and the writers from Simpsons, Futurama, and Family Guy will be making a 15 experimental episodes for Machinima.com.

I hope to see this artform get even further into mainstream by having it’s own continuing series in some way.
