Solebon is a solitaire game for the iPhone and iPod Touch from Smallware, the guys behind popular Mac and Palm solitaire games. The game is the premium (paid) version of the highly popular Sol Free solitaire app. Both apps are very well presented and fun to play. Solebon includes some 35 card games with all the solitaire games that I’ve ever come across including Klondike, Golf, Spiderette and Yuokn, all accurately depicted and easy to play but perhaps not to master. For comparison Sol Free only includes 5 solitaire games, however depending on what you like to play it may include all the games you might want. For me the big attraction of Solebon over Sol Free, apart from supporting this excellent game was Golf, a highly addictive game and something that you should definitely try.

The game also has some handy features including unlimited Undo (which can be turned off should you want to make the game more challenging) and foundation autoplay which moves all the completed card sets up to the foundations, which could be very tedious if you had to do it all by hand. Also included in the package are comprehensive statistics on all the games and your success in them, a timer for each round, subtle sound effects and the ability to play iPod music throughout the game.

The colour of the cards can also be altered as well as the background, although a background image display is not possible currently. Should you find it easier, possibly for those playing with a left hand, you can also reverse the layouts of the cards. There is also a comprehensive help system throughout the game available with the touch of the ‘i’.

Overall Solebon is a slick and intuitive experience with touch to move cards, intelligent autoplay and well presented menus. With so many games to chose from and plenty of options for each this is one of the most comprehensive solitaire experiences available on the iPhone and for $1.99 (£1.19) you can’t go wrong with Solebon. Don’t just take my word for it though, take Sol Free for a spin, if you like card games you won’t regret it.
