I knew this was going to happen. This is why I chose the Xbox360 over the PS3. Xbox360 offered Netflix streaming. If you haven’t noticed yet, the future of media will all be streamed. Movies and TV will go from the big screens to YOUR screen. Meaning any screen on any type of tech you want them on. No more physical media. The only thing physical will be the device you watch it on. Sure PS3 has Blu-Ray. But high res streaming is getting better and better.
The internet is getting faster and people are getting what they want, when they want, wherever they are. I predict that Blu-Ray will be another media to die out. And the article about Netflix stopping their mail distribution service, from Information Week, only makes that prediction even more possible.
I’m very happy Netflix is taking this step into the future. No more scrathed DVDs coming to your door and sending it back just to wait for another scratched DVD. But also, this will help the enviroment just a little bit.

Sorry, IMO nothing beats the 1080p domination of bluray right now. I got rid of my 360 elite and kept the ps3 (yellow dog linux beotch!) Besides, I love dvd commentary.
