Today I will briefly go over the state of each class and there current conditions in arena.
Paladins:
Holy – Need I say more? OP as hell, especially holy how their shock crits lead to another instant heal, or how their ‘sacred shield’ ability is like a passive earth shield. The beacon of light is also very strong. With BoP and BoF they are one of the most sought out classes for arena. And with that 25% mana per minute talent, they like never go oom. Paladins need a nerf.
Ret – they increased the damage output on the last patch by 6%. The vengeance stacks to 15% instead of 9%, I think blood DKs should get that buff too. Ret pallies can put out a ridonkulous amounts of damage…they need to nerf the damage…people without resilience can die in 1 HoJ no joke. It is super strong damage because holy damage cannot be resisted or mitigated. And with the ridiculous crit rate it pallys do way too much damage.

Shamans:
Resto – Wow this tree got buffed and boy can these guys dish out a ton of heals. Mana efficient with water shield and with good totem management they can turn the tide of the game. With passive self heals and fast blood lust heals they are able to keep up with some of the ridiculous amounts of dps being thrown out there. Having these on a 3’s team helps burst people down really fast.
Elemental – I haven’t seen one in arena yet…its perhaps because they can get locked down so easily…
Enhancement – These guys can hurt if they chain purge and shock their targets, with instant bolts/shocks/windfurys someone is bound to go down. The wolves also increase their movespeed kinda like rogue sprint.
Rogues:
Assassination – Muta is the bane of all classes with the amazing application of 3 poisons at 50% per weapon? There is no real point to try and dispel it. Lots of controlled burst and decent mobility (at least with muta prep build). Mind numbing with effortless MS and one of the best snares make it impossible for a caster to function correctly. Usually people drop in a well timed kidney shot
Combat-mostly for pve
Sub – a few rogues go down this tree and basically insta gib people in arena with prep->ambush->backstab->evis for 2 rogues 2v2, this can be very crazy if well executed (even on paladins)
Druids:
Resto – This spec is ok only when there aren’t dk’s running around…and we know how that is…some druids spec far into feral to have better survivability and hp while others spec into resto/balance. Overall these need a buff…perhaps this is blizzards way of dethroning them from BC
Feral – This spec is very very strong even when in bear you take significantly less damage and you can bite someone’s face off for like 10k with like 80%+crit chance. If it’s a wear down game and both parties don’t have MS, then usually feral will outlast. I want to form a hunter/feral druid/warrior/dk/resto shaman 5’s team just to see how much ownage can be dished out.
Balance – With the recent nerf to lol36yardmacestun its hard to want to stay in this spec for arena…but if you are a good balance druid and know what you are doing you will still try to play this spec regardless of nerfs.
Priests:
Disc – The preferred spec for pvp because the priest can actually live long enough to do something. With the entire new shield absorption technique the priest can survive a lot longer and heal thru prom which can crit.
Holy – If they get on you its over, especially a rogue.
Shadow – lol I have yet to really see a shadow priest in arena, perhaps they are in the 1200 bracket because they get rocked so hard even with dispersion
