White women only care about this because Dora is Hispanic. There have never been complaints about Barbie and all of Barbie’s obviously sexualistic themes and materialistic values. There have never been complaints about Bratz or pretty much anything else in the “little girls” aisle at the toy store. This is blatant racism because of Dora’s hispanic descent. White soccer moms NEED to keep hispanics down in their nicely controlled settings. Having Dora grow up would effectively acknowledge that the white Barbie days are over and the Hispanics will in fact be the majority in a few years. Mattel is getting it right. To all of the fat white soccer moms who protest – keep eating – that will solve everything.

You’re joking, right?
I had no idea she was Hispanic! She’ll probably get pregnant by 12, drop out of school, have a couple more kids (and never marry the three different fathers), go on welfare, be placed in “A Program” for at risk youth that she will drop out of, wear a Che Guevarra tshirt, and then complain about how things are stacked against her.
I live in LA. This is reality folks!
