iPhone App Review: Field Goal Frenzy

Today we’ll be having a look at one of Skyworks’ new games for the iPhone and iPod Touch, Field Goal Frenzy.

Field Goal Frenzy

Field Goal Frenzy is a NFL field goal arcade game where you attempt field goals from anywhere up to 50 yards out. A quick flick of the finger on the screen and the ball is in the air with after touch type control using the accelerometer. The game is well presented however it’s a bit lacking in playability. There’s only so many times you can flick your finger up the screen and score a goal before you get board. It’s one of those apps that you load up, play for 2 minutes and then delete, so in my opinion something that’s not really worth your hard earned, even if it’s only $1.99 (£1.19). Maybe if you’re a hard-core NFL junkie you might find some replay value in this, but for the rest of us I think it’s one to miss.

After working for a while, Fieldgoal Frenzy would start flickerring when it loads up. If I keep tapping the screen it starts working. Anyone else notice this?
