Lemonade Tycoon for iPhone

Lemonade Tycoon for iPhone

Lemonade Tycoon by EA mobile is a free ad-supported edition to the EA tour de force entry into the App Store.

Taking after the Tycoon games of yester-year and replicating the feel and game play of the online games of the same name, the aim of the game is pretty simple, sell lemonade and make profit. Starting out on your front lawn with a little push kart selling lemonade to your neighbours, it’s your challenge to earn enough profit, reputation and popularity to hit the big time. A simple concept of mixing the right amount of lemons, sugar and ice cubes to make the tastiest and most cost effective lemonade available. With a good recipe under your belt you can head out onto the streets and sell, sell, sell till you’ve got enough to upgrade your stall and your location.

With rent required by more populous places such as the park, downtown, the mall (great for when it rains) and many more the world is yours for the taking. Once you’ve got enough you can blast out music on a add-on sound stage or lure in customers with a massive fluorescent lemon sign, just make sure you make enough to cover your costs.

The simple premise of buy the constituents, mix them and sell the products is so addictive you’ll easily spend hours watching people queue up for your juice. The game is funded by advertising for albums, among them U2’s latest, which are displayed in a pop-over ad every now and again that must be dismissed or bought from the iTunes app on your iPhone. While it’s nice to get something for free, I find the pop-over advertising really annoying and wish there was just a way to buy the app outright and forgo the advertising.

Still with that said Lemonade Tycoon is an amusing and addictive little game that easily deserves a place on your iPhone.
