More Musical Stupidity: DJ Hero Controller

More Musical Stupidity: DJ Hero Controller

Supposedly Activision UK sent out a press release which included these renderings of the “DJ HERO” controller…

Regardless of  how retarded you are I’m sure you realize that it takes more than just a turntable to DJ. I never realized records had buttons on them either. Also this is clearly a rip off of a Technics 1200 turntable minus the tonearm, popup light, pitch control , power switch and 45 adapter tray.

blue1200Activision, what the fuck are you thinking? No mixer? Crossfader at least? What’s that I hear? Activision = Fail.

My money is more on Quincy Jones III Scratch the ultimate DJ. According to a tweet on his twitter accountThe scratch video game also has a real mp3 turn table with a functional fader, just like the real thing… will keep you posted on updates” I’m not surprised at all being that Numark is making the controller.

For your viewing pleasure here’s DJ Happee, Rayted R and Myself playing a real life scratch dj game. This would be the like the multiplayer mode.

Looks like you posted without even knowing all the facts. Aparently you haven’t done any reading and are basing your opinions on a single picture which isn’t even the complete unit. You have a picture of half the hardware; the turntable. The other half which connects to the turntable does indeed include a cross-fader. You say “I never realized records had buttons on them either.”… Umm, did you expect this to be the real thing when it’s a game? Do you know what production costs would be if it were real? This is for the everyday common person, adult and kid alike. If you want to play professional equipment, then go buy the real thing and not a game that is made for people to have fun. The complete unit can be seen at djhero.com if you wish to see it.

@jumpthegun, I went to DJHero.com, I’m STILL not impressed. It still looks like a retards device.

Don’t tell me to go buy the real thing. You see my videos, I own the real thing. I own multiple setups of the Real thing. I’d rather spend my money on THE REAL THING.

DJ Hero is a joke. If that’s for the “Everyday common person” that means most people are idiots and that may not be far from the truth.

ya umm why would you put buttons on top of a deck? just doesnt make sense. the Scratch controller did it right by separating the two
