That's right...I'm so broke, I have to reuse images.

Yeah…small snag in my survival guide it seems. Day 2 was ready and raring to go and something happened. Money magically appeared in my bank account. Amazing, isn’t it? The money that I was expecting…the money I was expecting three FUCKING weeks ago. The payment when through today, so to make an E3 Survival Guide about being broke kinda doesn’t work anymore. Still, I managed to pick up a few tips for surviving on a low budget so the whole thing wasn’t a total waste.

Anyway, yesterday E3 officially kicked off, marking Day 2 of my E3 trip.

Tuesday, June 2nd – E3 Officially Kicks Off

9:30AM – Wake up late since only Jamie and Nelson are going to the Nintendo Press Conference. Andrew and I head downstairs for some continental breakfast at our hotel only to find out they close up continental breakfast at 9:30…fucking bullshit.

9:40AM – Head back up to the room and steal more of Nelson’s snacks. Just chill with Andrew for a bit.

10:30AM – Get ready to go down to the Convention Center. Meeting Jamie and Andrew for lunch. They’re at the Yardhouse.

10:50AM – Jamie calls. Offers to buy me fries. SCORE! Andrew and I head out to Yardhouse.

11:15AM – Get to Yardhouse…have some fries, courtesy of Jamie. We discuss Nintendo.

11:40AM – Andrew and I head to Convention Center.

12:10PM – Check in at MTV for The Beatles: Rock Band. After demo from Harmonix, I get to go play, finding that they have free food. I chill there, play the game and eat before heading off.

1:00PM – Head over to Disney, stuffed with food.

2:30PM – Chill with Jamie for a bit. Learn that I missed complementary lunch at the Media Hospitality Center. Dammit.

4:20PM – Head over to Tecmo for Booth Tour.

5:00PM – Explore the floor before heading for Into the Pixel for free snacks and booze. Yum!

6:15PM – Head back to the hotel with the Geeks. We start blogging for a bit before heading off to The Congo Room for drinks and schmoozing. Nelson owes me a drink, which I took full advantage of.

10PM – Head back to hotel again to blog and rest. Find out that I’m getting an EFT deposit at 12:30AM, effectively ending my “Broke E3 Trip.”

So yeah, I expected to report the whole week while broke but that just didn’t end up happening (luckily for me). I owe the guys lunch now and I’m sure they’re gonna take full advantage of that. Let’s just hope that they don’t make me take them anywhere too expensive.

If you’re going to E3 and you wind up broke, word of advice. If you see free shit, don’t hesitate. Go for it and stockpile that shit. Trust me. You’ll be glad you did when you’re starving and realize you have a sandwich or, at the very least, some crackers.
