In an attempt to get more people to start using Internet Explorer 8, Microsoft’s marketing team goes viral and hires pretty boy/Superman, Dean Cain. As a web designer, I hope people will hear this cry for downloads and get off of IE6 already or better yet, download FireFox 3.5 which came out today.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens when Windows 7 ships entirely without Internet Explorer in Europe. I wonder whether it will seriously impact on the it’s market share or whether people will immediately go and download it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft labels it as a ‘critical update’ but then again they might get in trouble for that kind of underhand tactic.
