By now, everyone has seen UP, including you, right? Well, if you haven’t, “what’s with you man!” (Spaceballs quote.)  In the usual Pixar tradition, Pixar produces short films that pay before the actual movie.  They have nothing to do with the feature presentation, but always comes with a great moral.  Here is “Partly Cloudy.”

All filmmakers know that if you can tell a story with film without any dialog or better yet, sound, you’re doing it right.  This is what makes Pixar better than Dreamworks.  They can tell stories with emotion and without big name actors that do the character voice overs. Take WALL-E vs Kung Fu Panda for example.  Try watching both movies straight through on mute.  You’ll see what I mean.

   Pixar regularly produce shorts far better than most companies’ entire movies.

   Also, if you don’t cry when watching UP? That’s how we know you’re a frakking Cylon.
