PixelatedGeek for your iPhone

Tue, Jun 23, 2009

Are you one of the millions of people that dropped money on a brand new toy called an iPhone? Are you a smartphone afficienado? Well, good, because since we know you like to show off your phone to family and friends, why not have a little PixelatedGeek.com on the screen while you show it off. Or better yet, take us to the restroom. Nothing is better than taking a dump while reading one of your favorite blogs. So, give it a shot, just go to PixelatedGeek.com in Mobile Safari or your phone browser of choice and we’ll do the rest.

The mobile PixelatedGeek (or mini Geek as we affectionally call it) is currently in beta so if you have any problems with it, can’t get to it with your weapon of choice or just plain hate it, let us know in the comments and we’ll get it sorted out for you.

UPDATE: We’ve taken the mobile site offline whilst we make some tweaks to it (did I meantion it was in beta?!) we’ll have it back for you soon.

Ever since I was 13, I’ve always wanted to design websites. Now I do it for a living. Besides that, I love looking for news about and playing with video games, gadgets, tech, and design.

FTW! Sounds like I have to get an iPhone now. Reading magazines while dropping the kids off at the pool is sooo late 90’s.

Site still looks the same on the phone, on m.pixelated or iphone.pixelated. I thought you were promoting a mobile version of this.

Wierd. Cause it works on mine. Which iphone do you have? I may have to research the “user_agent” stuff. Sorry about that.

It seems as if it works for the iPhone 3GS but not the 3G. Weird, maybe Safari on the 3GS gives a different user agent. That might indicate their going to do something different with it than with the 3G. I know flash has been bounded about and the reason Apple gave for not having flash is because it wouldn’t run well. Recently it’s been demonstrated running on a 500MHz Android phone so there’s no reason the iPhone 3GS couldn’t run it but maybe 400MHz isn’t fast enough from the 3G.

What about the G1? I too would like to read my favorite blog while on the pot.
