Introducing EMA, the Eternal Maiden Actualization, a ‘big-busted, petite, and very friendly’ 15-inch battery powered saucy minx.
Hit the read link to see moreSega, the company that brought you Sonic the Hedgehog, the Genesis and the Dreamcast, has taken a departure from slightly saner things to bring you a robotic ‘girlfriend’ that dances, sings and hands out business cards to any business associates that you might want to introduce to her. The standout feature however has to be the ‘love mode’ in which EMA will saunter up and plant a smacker on any faces that she detects with her bank of infrared sensors.
“Strong, tough and battle-ready are some of the words often associated with robots, but we wanted to break that stereotype and provide a robot that’s sweet and interactive,” said Minako Sakanoue, a spokeswoman for Sega Toys was quoted as saying.
“She’s very lovable and though she’s not a human, she can act like a real girlfriend.”
Sega is hoping to sell 10,000 robotic girlfriends in it’s first year which will be available in Japan in September for around $175 and envisions a $10-billion market for artificial intelligence in a decade. I’m sorry to say that a robotic man is not currently on the cards, so sorry girls, your robotic pleasures will have to be fulfilled the old fashioned way.
