Comic Con Experience – Preview Night

IMG_5037

I’m not a noob when it comes to Comic Con. I was born and raised in San Diego and have already been to several San Diego Comic Cons. And in all of those past years, the only thing I have experienced was an overcrowded exhibit hall.

Until now.

I haven’t been to the 2nd floor for all the panels before. After starting this site, I grew an interest to cover the material that goes on up there. The 4-day pass was a gem – it helped me view the exhibit hall the night prior get that over with. Now I can relax and go to panels and learn a thing or two.

So, here is what I have experienced for my first preview night at Comic Con.

It is still as crowded but not as crowded as it will be during the official Day 1 opening. Crowded floor means a lot of body heat. I really felt like the convention center didn’t have enough air conditioning power to handle it. People were fanning themselves with freebies. But if you were able to go to the sidewalls of the convention, the temperature kind of cools down. Also, when you’re around this many geeks and nerds, some don’t like to bathe, shower, or put deodorant on. guh.

Lines everywhere! I you wanted a free poster, button, sticker, or temporary tattoo, be ready to stand in line. Yes they are free, but I’m not sure if its worth it.

Cosplayers, Costumes, Booth Babes and random hotties. There wasn’t much of them walking around, but then again, it was preview night. I’m expecting 5 times as more today.

Ok, The panel for The Hobbit is about to start. I’ll post more about my experience tonight.
