Well we thought this might happen. The cat and mouse game between Palm and Apple seems to have kicked off. Palm’s just released webOS 1.1.0 update features quite a few changes including the ability to sync with iTunes 8.2.1:

“resolves an issue preventing media sync from working with latest version of iTunes (8.2.1)”

Of course that’s not the only significant new feature in the update, included are: Emoticons, Exchange support, a new app NFL Mobile Live (game video/audio), and a new gesture, swiping left to right to move forward through web pages. A load of other small tidbits have also changed so hop on over to PreCentral for the full low down. In the mean time, how long before Apple smites this effort eh?
