Gosh, I remember watching this cartoon and wondering if and when I could play with the tech toys they had. Wondering, when would I be able to walk my dog on a stationary moving platform or when would I be able to drive a flying car that folds us into a light weight briefcase or have a robot maid. The show is still a couple years ahead of us with technology, but we are getting closer and closer to it.

Dog Walker
I used to think that an invention to walk/jog/run in place was very cool! then I realized, treadmills are boring and kind of tiring.
Flying Cars
Flying cars has been an invention that I always wanted to see come true. When it was shown in Back to the Future it was certain that once someone has figured it out, it would be the definite sign of the future. Today, we have the Moller SkyCar. It has a long way to go, but once its ready, I’ll be glad to watch it fly, then land, then drive. Next up, folding into a 5 pound briefcase.
Robots for assistance
We are still a ways off from a robot with an actual personality that can cook and clean for us, but we are getting closer. For automated cleaning. we have the dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, and the Roomba. For and actual robot that can assist us, we have AISMO from Honda.
A Moving Walkway
Back when I first saw one on the Jetsons, I thought, what a great invention to have. But now, I just think its just a lazier way to walk from point A to point B. I’m glad they just have them mostly in airports. Having them everywhere would just be a waste.
Webcams
Imagine this. Instead of calling up your friend on a phone and only hearing them, you can now both hear AND see them. How cool would that be? Well, it has already happened with the power of webcams. Next up, floating LCD screens.
