Rumors about a Slim PS3 have been surfacing for months now, and the internet surely does a good job of adding fuel to the fire. So it’s no surprise that images of Slim PS3 Amazon listing from Germany have started to pop up. But before anyone starts asking, the images are fake.

Exactly what the point of releasing fan-made pictures of foreign Amazon listings for an item that, as of now, has not been confirm, I do not know. But what I do know is that the fans are asking for it. Just like the PlayStation and the PS2 before it, fans are expecting a slimmer, more compact, and possibly cheaper version of the PS3. Whether Sony plans to give the fans what they want or not, it is an undeniable fact that fan demand for a PS3 Slim is high.

So who knows…maybe the PS3 Slim is a lot closer to being released than we think. The photo is fake, but the listing is still on Amazon in Germany.
