Halo 1 showed us what the genre FPS was turning into. Halo 2 showed us what Multiplayer was all about. Halo 3 showed us that people will shell out enough money for anything. Including a Helmet that won’t even fit a cat. Alright so the Multiplayer, Theater and Forge were pretty neat and very revolutionary. Then there is this new comer. Halo 3: ODST. What does this game bring to the beloved franchise?

I’m a big fan of the Halo 3 live action shorts.  You can tell so much work and attention to detail goes into each one that has came out.  In the video above, you’ll see just how much work went into making the 2 minute and 30second short film as well as a small scene that didn’t make it into the final cut.  I truly hope that Bungie and Microsoft continue to make shorts like these or even maybe (just maybe) a Halo feature film.

Another Trailer for Dragon Age Origins. Seems I can’t get enough of Bioware games from Star Wars TOR, Dragon Age Origins to Mass Effect 2. These games just can’t come out fast enough. Well it’s almost November right?

Just this morning, the official Star Wars: The old Republic twitter account, tweeted:

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting tester applications for STAR WARS: The Old Republic! http://tinyurl.com/y9fywkz

This was very exciting news to everyone. So exciting that the whole internets broke the poor little webserver.  5 hours after the initial announcement, they tweeted with this:

We are making adjustments to the site due to the overwhelming response to the testing announcement. Please be patient and check back later.

But still, the web server is still down.  Was anyone of our readers able to get through today and sign up for beta access?  If and when the server comes back up again for sign up’s, we’ll let you know. Stay tuned.

A video from Japan has surfaced showing off 2 of the 8 new characters, from the upcoming Super Street Fighter 4, ultra moves.

I remember back when AOL was the biggest ISP on the market and online chatrooms were relatively safe, everyone typed normally.  Sure there were some mispelled words here and there, but it was ok. Everyone understood each other and hardly anyone abused the CAPS LOCK. But then, the internets started becoming mainstream.  I think by the time I turned 16 or so, other “teenie” boppers started to poke their heads into chatrooms to see what all the fuss is about. How did I know they were “teenie boppers”?  They typed LyKe DiSh.

Now, travel to present day internets and you have so many different kinds of acronyms, different kinds of “speaks” (leetspeak, lolcat, geekspeak, etc.), and emoticons.  That’s all fine and sometimes funny to read, but one thing stood the test of time. Uppercase, lowercase typing.  This is my biggest internet pet peeve of mine and I really don’t understand how it is still here.

Why do people think iSh SoOoOoOoO kEwL 2 tYpE lYkE dIsH? Damn, just typing like that made me angry. I guess it gets under my skin because when I first saw that kind of typing it was like kids stomping on my internet lawn. Call me old but, if you see a full paragraph of that, it’s hard to read and it gets annoying to me.

Does it make you look cool if you type like that? I really don’t see the point of it but I do hope to see the end of it soon.
