At the end of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performance during MTV’s Video Music Awards, Lil’ Mama (America’s Best Dance Crew) gets on stage and poses with performers. Fast forward in the video above to about 5minutes. It was a dumb move by Lil’ Mama, but here is her apology:
“I did not mean any disrespect towards Jay-Z or Alicia Keys,” the statement reads. “I admire them and look up to them as role models. ‘Empire State of Mind’ had my emotions running high. In that moment I came up onstage to celebrate my two icons singing about NY.”
Sorry, Lil’ Mama. Apology or no apology, once you do something as dumb as that and the internet photoshops you, it’s over.
For more Lil’ Mama photoshops, go past the break:

I commented this on my friend’s Facebook:
CONSPIRACY THEORY: kanye west (and lil mama, i suppose) was just a publicity stunt because nobody watches the VMA’s anymore. but instead of veering people towards the actual show, people clicked to the one-minute clip on the MTV web site – and this is only because the youtube video got pulled down.
taylor swift does not care about black people.
Stupid region restrictions, I can’t view that video anywhere and I’m too lazy to google half the day for it XD
