“Monsterpocalypse Now” has the latest faction additions to an already action packed game. If you thought G.U.A.R.D., Terrasuars, Lords of Cthul, Martians Menace, Planet Eaters, and the Shadow Sun Syndicate was all Privateer Press could concoct. You were wrong! Elemental Champions, Empire of the Apes, Subterran Uprising, Tritons, Savage Swarm, and UberCorp International are the new boys in town. Twelve new monsters, new buildings, puds, puds, and more puds!

I have always had a warm fuzzy for Rampage. And for the gamer who misses the feeling of ripping apart cities and kicking the hell out of another monster, Monsterpocalypse may be for you. All the models come painted and with simple rules this game can be played in an hour after grabbing a starter box. I think the hardest part of the game is deciding what faction to choose. All minis are sold in blister packs so the minis you get is random. There are monster boosters and building/ pud boosters. Each monster booster contains one random monster. And the building/ pud booster has one random building and 4 random puds.

This game plays centered around the large monsters and using them to kick ass with smash attacks and body slams. But don’t underestimate the puds. Though small they can pack a punch and play a very key role in the strategy. They take control of building and can apply needed pressure on the enemy Monster. Mindlessly smash everything on the board or calculate each move, you decide. I think this game is an excellent choice for any nerd’s game night.
