Hi, I need help. I want to buy wii for Christmas this year for my kids and want to give myself a Beatles rock band game. Im looking for Gretsch duo guitar. But I would also like to take advantage of the Old Navy offer and get a LEGO Rock Band. Will this game work on that guitar? Ive read that with WII you have to have a different guitar for a different kind of games. Is that true?

I am 90% sure that any Rock Band guitar made for your certain console of choice will work on other Rock Band games like LEGO Rock Band.  I doubt there is any change in the inner wiring of each controller, whether it be Beatles, LEGO, or Banjo. Once Rock band stepped in to the ring to go toe to toe with Guitar Hero, customer complained about having to buy 2 sets of controllers or essentially the same type of game.  Since then, both companies have worked together to make sure that a Guitar Hero guitar or drumset will work on a Rock Band Game and vice versa.

Good luck and be careful on getting that free copy at Old Navy’s black Friday sale.  Just remember, there is no sale that is worth getting trampled on for.
