The year is 0001 A.H. (After Humans). The world is being threatened by an evil corporation named Microshaft. Their mission: To bring about world peace, by blowing the world up. But there is still hope, or rather, there is still funk. Enter Frobot, the unconventional hero in Fugazo’s upcoming Wii ware title, a funky hero out to save the world.
In the level I played I was tasked with setting up a transportation beam. Of course it wasn’t working, and I was tasked with going through rooms and turning things on by using my special powers. Frobot has a main laser power, followed by four more unique powers. These powers are; Dynomine (A mine you place and then detonate), Stud Missile( A powerful missile you shoot from your chest with a thrusting motion), Heart Stopper (A shield that reflects lasers), and the Jive Talker(A Disco Ball you control with the cursor that detonates when it hits something). The levels were done in a neat retro top down style that I really enjoyed. The best part though was probably the dialog, which was hilarious. Frobot also has some multi-player, which can be described as Bomberman with bullets. I really enjoyed the multi-player, which has a really frantic intense pace. With lasers ricocheting off the walls and Disco Balls exploding around you it definitely keeps it funky. Watch the first video for my interview with Frobot’s creator and check the second video for my multi-Player adventures after the break.
