The dust has settled and I have finally fallen into a semi-regular routine again. E3 was sensory overload defined, and I am glad to be once again moving at a less than breakneck speed. Still the experience was amazing and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Hopefully you have been keeping up with our E3 coverage, and have been keeping up on all the post. Here are my personal Top 5 Things I saw at E3 200.
5) The Move
I am a skeptic when it comes to motion gaming. Rarely do I feel it works well enough for me to get my lazy rear end off the couch and wave my arms around for an hour or so. The main reason I usually don’t enjoy motion gaming is that usually I end up waving my arms any which way I feel, knowing that it does not really make much of a difference. However I got a chance to demo a couple of the upcoming Sony Move games and found them to be very responsive. Not so much with the Kinect. The Kinect might work out the wrinkles before the holidays, but as of now I am leaning towards the Move as my motion gaming choice.

4) War of the North
Every geek has a special place in their hearts for Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Rings video games, unfortunately, don’t carry the same aura of excellence. The newest game from Snowblind Studios, War of the North, looks like it will be one of the best Lord of The Rings themed games to date. We did not get a hands on, but watching the play through looked amazing. The combat was smoother than butter on a bald monkey and the game already looks great. I seriously cannot wait for this game.
3) Monday Night Combat
I love this game! I need it to be out this week. Scratch that, last week. You might have seen me play it at PAX East. You might have read about it on the site before. This game is wonderful. You will find out for yourself very soon, as the game should be dropping this summer. Get pumped.
2) Rage
When I saw that Bethesda would be showing Rage at this years E3 I just had to get a look at it. Set in a desolate wasteland the game already looks ready to be released. The gameplay looks smooth, the graphics were stunning (albeit a little jagged up close on things such as pipes but come on, the game doesn’t even have a release date yet), and the main character has a boom-a-rang that can cut people’s heads off.
1) The Rest of the Pixelatedgeek Crew
The best part of the whole trip was finally getting to meet (almost) all the guys. Living on the east coast I haven’t gotten to meet any of the west coast guys in person. It was an amazing experience, and getting to share it with these guys only made it better. I can’t wait till next year!
