FyreTV Adult Entertainment Video Streaming Box [Review]

The current management isn’t sure why the previous management tagged this “NSFW,” honestly it’s mildly inappropriate at best. If you’d like to check out some more current posts on movies and stuff, head here.

Even though there is a lot of news about the latest gadgets from the City of Sin, CES isn’t the only popular event happening right now. Right next door to the CES show floor is a little known convention called the Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE). Funny how the event organizers always seems to open their show in exactly the same city, days, and time. AEE is mostly known for its porn and its pornstars. But besides that, there are many vendors that are showing off the latest in adult toys and technology.

We have received a review unit from FyreTV to see if this set top box, strictly made for streaming adult entertainment to your TV, is worth your money and spare tissues.

What you get in the box are the video streaming unit, composite video cables, HDMI cable, power plug, remote control, and a WiFi antenna. The box looks very discreet. Not even the logo of the company is on it.  This makes it easier to fake that you don’t watch porn on your spare time.

Going through the UI

Everything seems very straightforward.  The FyreTV UI design seems to resemble a Playstation 3 UI.  Furthermore, navigating the interface is very simple.  The load times of the movie box covers and scene thumbnails are almost instant. If you hover over a scene’s thumbnail for a couple of seconds, you will see additional thumbnails from that scene.

Now, how does the FyreTV match up against today’s digital cable TV? Or even the internet?

FyreTV vs. Digital Cable TV

Digital cable TV already has ways to buy pay-per-view porn.  It has been integrated it the systems no matter which service you use. So, why would one really want to get FyreTV?  Well, what digital cable lacks is a more robust search feature and more video selections.  This is where FyreTV wins.  You can search through over seventy categories including by pornstar and studio.  There are sorting options (rating, views, release date) and even a way for you to make your own playlist for future fapping sessions.

It’s inevitable: even with the adult industry, cable is dying.

FyreTV vs. the Internet

Everyone knows that the juggernaut of all porn is the internet.  The internet has every type of fapping material a human being could want.  There are already plenty of pay-per-view, pay-per-minute, and monthly subscription based websites out there as well as free video sites (e.g. RedTube) that are easily accessible.

This is where the FyreTV box loses. The FyreTV box does not come with a free subscription or free movies.  Everything in their service must be purchased; for this, FyreTV has many options: pay-per-view, pay-per-minute, monthly subscriptions and special studio packages.

Overall Opinion

The FyreTV service is very innovative and can be a great fapping or love-making companion…that is if you do not have any other way to connect a laptop or desktop to your TV for free videos. If the box was made to also stream movies from your desktop, I think it might have been a winner in my book.
