L.A. Noire Website Launches, New Trailer with In-Game Footage

The latest video game development from Rockstar Games, L.A. Noire, has launched its official website this week.

The game has been slated for release on the PS3 and XBox 360 on May 17th for North America and May 20th for European players.

Coupled with the release of the the website, Rockstar has also released a second trailer for the game.  This time the trailer has actual in-game footage.  It looks great and seems to be of the same caliber of what we expect from Rockstar.  After the jump, check it out!

In addition to the new trailer, you can check out some behind-the-scenes of how the developers worked to translate real facial expressions into the game and some of the new characters and “desks” (where you begin missions) that will be in the game.

Overall, I am pretty excited to check out this game.  I had been wondering just how similar it would be to other Rockstar games and, while it definitely has the feel of Rockstar, it seems like this will be a great and original game.  I am hoping that, with the crime-solving aspect of the game, there is more of a puzzle-solving methodology to it.  Essentially I want to really feel invested in figuring it out instead of feeling like clues were fed right to me (which happens too much in crime-solving games, it seems).  On top of that, you will have to interview and interrogate NPCs, and I am hoping that it will not be cut-scene after cut-scene yet more of an RPG focus, where there are multiple choices for how to extract information and consequences for each.

What about you, readers?  What are you looking forward to with this game?  What are you worried about?
