We have all seen this in film: a book or small object stops a bullet. We smirk in disbelief, though we love the premise and possibility. Here, in the real world, however, a new question must now be asked: do you think your smart phone is smart enough to stop a bullet?
As an owner of a smart phone, I’m always afraid of breaking it, even though I have one heck of a case. It did survive falling in the middle of a busy Chicago street. I guess everyone worries about them breaking, getting lost, or stolen. I never thought it would save my life, but that’s what happened to this guy.
According to the Associated Press, Mr. Garber works as a valet parking attendant in Atlanta. Two disgruntled guests began firing at the establishment. Mr. Garber avoided being hit by a bullet by millimeters because his cell phone battery acted as a barrier.
