MLG Pro Announces Details About the 2011 Pro Circuit!

Last year, I was able to stop by MLG whenever it came to my hometown, Raleigh, and it was pretty fun.  I met some fascinating people and just had a good time with friends.  MLG has now announced a few details about the 2011 Pro Circuit, including two of its stops and two games.  Where is MLG stopping this year and what new game has been added? Read on to find out!

As imagined, Halo: Reach will be joining the ranks of the MLG Pro Circuit, taking Halo 3‘s place. Reach was a competitive event at its Dallas stop last year, so it isn’t entirely new, but it will be the first time it is a tournament throughout the entire circuit. Starcraft 2 is also making its second appearance after being incredibly popular last year as a last-minute add-on.  Sundance DiGiovanni (co-founder of MLG) tweeted in December that MLG had three games definitely lined up, with a potential fourth one.

Right now it’s down to 3 games. With a 4th making a push to join. Each event will also have a throwback or exhibition title.  -Sundance DiGiovanna via Twitter

MLG presents World of Warcraft most years, so I would hope it would bring that back as the third one, but do you have any guesses on what the fourth one may be?
Finally, as usual, MLG Pro will be making its normal stops in Dallas (April 1 – 3) and Columbus (June 3 – 5).  Registration for Dallas will begin in March.Where else would you like to see MLG Pro go?  It won’t be heading back to Meadowlands for sure, unfortunately. According to Sundance, the venue is too small.  Sundance did mention Raleigh again in a tweet, challenging Cliffy B to a rap battle.
@therealcliffyb Should we chat regarding Gears 3 and MLG? Also want to carve out floor space for you at our 2011 Raleigh event.#rapbattle – Sundance Giovanni via Twitter
