Terraria 1.1 Coming December 1

In a brand-new trailer released November 25th, Re-Logic has finally announced the anticipated update of their widely popular game Terraria.  The trailer shows a slew of new updates to the game, including new bosses, creatures, weapons, items and aesthetic changes.

Terraria is a open-world game that plays a bit like Minecraft, in which players build, craft and fight aggressive mobs to their heart’s content with no set way of going about it.  The game differs from Minecraft in that it’s a 2D side-scrolling game, featuring boss fights, rare weapons and armor, distinct and creative biomes, and a slightly different mining and cave experience.

Terraria was released to the public on May 16.  Since that time, the game has undergone small updates, with the latest one occurring in August.  The trailer — shown below — shows all the updates the developers at Re-Logic have been working on for the past few months.  Needless to say, it looks like a big one.

In the trailer, viewers can see updates to the biomes (including backgrounds!), new weapons, spells and armor, at least three new bosses — The Destroyer, Skeleton Prime and Wall of Flesh (uh, gross) — some new creatures and a lot of item changes, such as different colored torches. And a lot more!  Overall, it looks like Terraria‘s latest update will satisfy player desires.  Check out the trailer below to see all the new updates in action.

Terraria is available on Steam and is currently $4.99 with the Autumn sale.  The 1.1 update will be available to all players on December 1.
