[SDCC 2013] The Walking Dead Panel in Hall H

At the time of this posting we only have three days until the season 4 premiere of The Walking Dead. To tide you over, check out the photos and a short video from The Walking Dead panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2013.

Being careful not to give out any spoilers, the cast and crew dropped a lot of hints and tidbits to the audience. We’ve seen the evolution of single walkers into herds, and we’ve heard the ominous line on the season four trailer “They don’t spread out anymore.” When asked what comes next, executive producer Scott Gimble responded “It’s going to get insane very quickly.”

The issue of the Governor was brought up, as to what part he’ll play in the new season. Robert Kirkman offered “All bets are off with the Governor. How he returns, when he returns, and what he’s doing when he returns will be a pretty big  mystery this season.”

When asked why he thought Rick brought people back to the prison, instead of staying in Woodbury, Andrew Lincoln responded “I’m not sure I can answer that, because we answer that in this season.”

Scott Wilson was asked what is character’s main motivation will be in the coming season. Wilson quipped “He really just wants to hold onto his other leg.”

All in all, viewers were told to expect the unexpected, and to never get comfortable. As moderator Chris Hardwick said, whenever the characters get comfortable, that’s when Kirkman likes to go “Let’s shake the box!”
