PlayStation 4 Launch Weighed Down by Possible Hardware Problems

Right on the eve of the PlayStation 4 launch, reports are coming from individuals with early access to the console that the hardware might not be fully operational.

Those that won the contests featured at Taco Bell for early releases of the PS4 received their consoles on Wednesday, and some reports from owners state that the consoles were giving errors or not functioning properly. Most noticeably, Kotaku editor Stephen Totilo mentioned that his first PS4 provided to him by Sony “didn’t work.”

Sony has responded, stating that these issues are “isolated incidents” and they are “investigating”.

No launch is without some bugs and difficulties, and many of the other consoles have experienced similar issues in the past. Still, not a great thing to hear about a few hours before your massive launch.
