If you haven’t set yourself up to succumb to the insanely addictive vice that is Hearthstone, then now is your chance. Blizzard’s incredibly tight digital CCG entered Open Beta status on the 21st of this month, and you can download the client here.
If you haven’t been exposed to the slow-burning habitual dependence that is Hearthstone, think Magic: The Gathering, with a Blizzard twist – the biggest difference being the subtraction of a drawn location-paired Mana mechanic in favor of a round-based power mechanic. Be warned that the product is still very much in the Beta stage, with some significant balance issues – cough, Priests, cough – but Hearthstone is an incredibly well-crafted, and blisteringly fun experience.
