Coming soon to home video and VOD is Justice League: War, the latest in DC Comic’s super successful animated home video line. Adapting well known story lines from the DCU and combining it with animation juggernauts, Warner Bros. has come to make a near perfect line up of great stories. Now Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has crossed the New 52 line to tell their first story of the new DCU continuity. Taken from Geoff Johns and Jim Lee’s break out story, Justice League: War is a new origin of DC’s greatest heroes coming together for the first time.
Warner Bros. official synopsis is as follows:
When the powerful Darkseid and his massive, relentless forces invade Earth, a group of previously unaligned super heroes – misunderstood and, in some cases, hunted by the authorities – discover the only way to fend off the attack will be to work together as a cohesive unit. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Shazam, and in his origin story, Cyborg combine their respective talents in an all-out battle to save the planet.
What do you think of DC’s choice to continue on from Flashpoint onward into the New 52? Do you want to see more stories from the new continuity before closing the doors on the previous one?
