The box art for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is pretty par for the course when it comes to MGS boxes. This one sports a close-up look of Big Boss as he looks out at us, his gaze oozing masculinity and tactical espionage action.

Even in screenshot form the amount of detail shown is a testament to the powerhouse that is the new FOX engine, rendering even the tiniest drops of blood as they fly out of the mouths of Big Boss’s enemies.

Let’s not forget that Xbox One and 360 players get to play as Raiden in the Jamais Vu mission which pits Raiden against evil body snatchers from another world…Look, let’s not sweat the small stuff, you get to be cyborg ninja!

Although details are still sparse about the iDROID companion app, Konami’s press release suggests that the app transforms your smart form or tablet into Big Boss’ map and communications device. Does this mean all codec calls could be done through your smartphone or tablet? It would certainly be awesome if that were the case; talking to Kaz or any other of Big Boss’ support team through your own phone sounds like an excellent way to add immersion to Ground Zeroes.

Now if you really want to see the power of the FOX engine, check out the following “photorealistic” screenshots.
