The Lost Boys

A massive popular cult film from the 1980s where we find two-brothers after moving to a new town, they are convinced that the area is frequented by vampires. Great music, fun lines and of course the two Corey’s in one movie!

Cronos

It’s the master known as Guillermo del Toro dipping his toe into the world of the vampire with his 1993 flick, Cronos. A mysterious device designed to provide its owner with eternal life resurfaces after four hundred years, leaving a trail of destruction in its path.

Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles

Blade

Based on the Marvel Comic Characters, comes Blade: One badass mother F**ker of a Vampire Hunter. Half vampire himself he seeks out to destroy a vampire that wants to raise a vampire god to destroy the world. This movie has one of the best openings of any vampire movie!

30 Days of Night

After an Alaskan town is plunged into darkness for a month, a bloodthirsty gang of vampires attacks it. It’s gross, bloody and awesomely violent. A decent vampire flick to get your blood flowing this time of year.

Let the Right One In

Oskar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl. But of course, all isn’t what it seems. Watch the Swedish version before the American.

Underworld Series 2003-2012

Vampire vs. Werewolves. Badass action. Kate Beckinsale’s outfit. Cool industrial music. Some awesome acting by Bill Nighy as the villain. What more do you need?

Fright Night 1985 and 2011

When a teenager learns that his next-door neighbor is a vampire, no one will believe him. Both versions basically deal with the same story but of course differ in plot and delivery. Both are worth checking out for two completely different reasons, but are worth it.

Vamp

Two fraternity pledges go to a sleazy bar looking for strippers to entertain their college friends. They have problems with transportation, Biker gangs, and worst of all, the staff of the bar, all of who seem to be vampires, with Grace Jones playing the head vampire. Yea…it’s that kind of 80s crazy. But worth seeing Keith Herrings amazing art as he turns Grace into a living work of vampire art.

Well three ya go. Some great ideas for your entire vampire need and wants this year. Some are great and some not so much, but a good time will be hand never the less!
