Movie Issues: Transformers: Dark of the Moon

This week Leland is on vacation, and he took the podcasting world with him.

Sit in with Leland and special guest hosts Ben and Mel as they journey though Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance before attempting the daunting task of re-watching Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Then they try to understand: where do the Transformers movies go so wrong, and why is Michael Bay still allowed to make movies?

Movie Issues: What’s Your Number?

Well Valentine’s Day is over and gone for another year, but Leland and Spooky are still sending out the love vibes.

This week we wrap up our journey though romantic-comedy-land with 2011 Rom-Com What’s Your Number?, a simple story of two people trying to decide if having too many sex partners is a problem too great for any relationship to handle. I guess we’ll find out!

Come join us as we watch Captain American fall in love with the House Bunny (which I think might have been a better title in hindsight).

Movie Issues: Rhinestone

Well as Valentine’s Day approaches Leland and Spooky wanted to show their support for “Single Awareness Day” by doing a romantic comedy. But we do it up Movie Issues style, by taking you way back to 1984 to watch Dolly Parton teach Sylvester Stallone how to become a country western singer in the movie Rhinestone.

Movie Issues: Howard The Duck

Well it was bound to happen sooner than later. This week the boys decided to go down memory lane and revisit Howard the Duck, the infamous 1986 film that is widely considered one of the worst movies in Hollywood history. Join us, as we discuss why it’s not that bad: lots of Lea Thompson love and nude ducks that make us feel very uncomfortable. Yup, it’s just another day here at the Movie Issues studios.

Movie Issues: Titan A.E.

It’s 3043 AD, Earth has been destroyed and our only hope of saving humanity relays on a kid with a bad attitude, a girl with a ship that’s falling apart, a cranky kangaroo lady and a whole bunch of aliens that look like animal hybrids.

Join Leland and Spooky as they relive the animated post-apocalyptic science fiction film from 2000, Titan A.E., the film that single-handedly shut down an entire animation studio because it didn’t make any money.
