Review – Behind You: One-Shot Horror Stories

“It’s so funny to discover you’re made of meat and at any moment the world might take a bite. Our species comes wired with a great sense of humor. It’s one of our best traits.”
– From the introduction by Joe Hill

Brian Coldrick’s Behind You (collecting many of the images from his web series) is a fantastic mix of horror and very, very dark humor. If you like “two sentence ghost stories” you’ll love these, because each one only has a sentence, maybe two, to tell the story, with the picture on the next page. Photo Gallery – Hasbro SDCC Exclusive: Voyager Class Optimus Prime

I finally got the chance to unbox one of Hasbro’s SDCC 2017 Exclusives: the Transformers The Last Knight Voyager Class Optimus Prime. The details are excellent, the figure is sturdy and easily posed, and I had a great time getting photos (much to the amusement of my neighbors, who you think would be used to seeing outdoor Transformer photo shoots by now.) See below for all the pics!

Neil Gaiman’s “A Study in Emerald” to be released by Dark Horse Comics

As this is one of my favorite Neil Gaiman stories (in the top 10 at least. Top 20? They’re all good. Don’t make me choose!!) I’m very excited about this release. See below for the official press release from Dark Horse Comics on the Sherlock Holmes/H.P. Lovecraft-inspired graphic novel A Study in Emerald.
