It shall come to pass that in the year 2013 AD an Elder Scroll MMO will arrive for PCs and Macs.

“We have been working hard to create an online world in which players will be able to experience the epic Elder Scrolls universe with their friends, something fans have long said they wanted,” said Matt Firor, the game director for The Elder Scrolls Online. “It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years. The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.” That team is the crew at ZeniMax Online Studios, developing the game.

Dishonored Trailer

Bethesda Softworks have revealed the source of that teaser image on their twitter – the trailer for their upcoming game Dishonored.

Players take on the role of an otherworldly assassin driven to avenge the death of the Empress under your charge. Framed for the Empress’ death, you seek out the real killers. But bringing them to justice won’t be easy: the city itself is controlled by a corrupt government who have strange technological devices, and threatened by a deadly plague.

This wont be just any “kill targets and win” game. Dishonored features a flexible combat system mixing ordinary weapons, cool gadgets, and supernatural powers given to you by dark forces. The player can launch stealthy night attacks or turn the city into a battleground with vengeful, open assaults during the day. The choices you make will determine the outcome of each mission.

No release date has been announced yet, but feast your eyes on the trailer below.

In case you have not gorged yourself upon this wonderful preview of the upcoming expansion for Starcraft 2, here is your chance. We may be late to the party in posting it but we here at Pixelated Geek are more than enthusiastic about this expansion. If only Blizzard would actually tell us when it would arrive on our PCs.

The preview trailer is pure game-play and surprisingly lacking in Blizzard’s traditional amazing CGI work.

The Next Sony Console, Orbis or PS4?

The Internet is known as a breeding ground for any and all rumors, and in this case, they’re focused on the next Sony console.

Not to be outdone by the Xbox 720 talk, recent “information” has surfaced about the next console release from Sony, suggesting it could be called the Orbis. The name may or may not be a codename, as the rumors also suggest that Sony is wanting to get away from the Playstation name, much as they left behind the PSP brand with the Vita’s development.

Blood & Chrome: A Battlestar Galatica Prequel

Blood & Chrome: A Battlestar Galatica Prequel

Almost a year after the two-hour pilot was shot we are now able to see what could become the third “modern” Battlestar Galatica series to be aired by the Syfy channel. The trailer promises a ride for the viewers not entirely unlike getting into a rocket sled and drinking an adrenaline and adrenaline cocktail. Blood and Chrome presents us with Luke Pasqualino, from Skins, as William “Husker” Adama on his first duty aboard the Galatica operating an important and secret mission during the tenth year of the first cylon/human war. While the previous BSG spinoff Caprica focused more on the political arena leading up to the conflict seen in Battlestar Galatica, it would seem that Blood and Chrome is delivering the political and religious struggle for power as aside dish to the CGI fueled action. Given that Syfy has begun to run promotions for Blood and Chrome we could see it arrive before the end of this year.

Update: Sadly it looks like the Video has been removed.

Update 2: SyFy is not planning a Blood & Chrome TV Series, though it is considering releasing it as a Digital Series.

Kartoz: A Device For Those Who Love Redundancy

Join me on this horribly imaginary journey. The most important thing in the last 12 minutes of your life just happened and you just have to post it on facebook! You reach for your phone only to find that the battery is dead! You could use your computer to provide your information-ally starved facebook friends of the cute cat video you found or the copy and pasted chain mail/status that just arrived, but who uses computers anymore?!? They are archaic machines used by old fogies who think the internet is made of tubes! Whatever shall you do?!
