If so, then tickets for Sunday are still available.

If you’re not able to go because of tickets or not being able to fit it into your plans this year, no worries. We’ve got you and the convention covered. So stay tuned!

The late night wars are over and sadly the only casualty has been Conan O’ Brien. But fear not! Team Coco will be back. Fox has been in talks with Coco and they are hoping to finalize a deal sometime before mid May. More after the break.

The LA Times is reporting that top executives at Fox, including Fox owner Rupert Murdoch, are eager to sign a deal with O’Brien. However, a couple of key things still need to be addressed.

One thing is the price tag. At NBC, O’Brien was given a budget for the show of $90 million annually. Fox wants to bring that sum to $60 million and increase it from there if the show becomes successful.

Another, bigger problem is the time slot. Fox’s late night programming is made up of local news followed by reruns. For example, here in Los Angeles following the news at 10 is The Simpsons at 11, The Office at 11:30 and King of the Hill at 12 and 12:30. This is different all around the country but some Fox stations have licensing agreements that don’t expire for two years to air these reruns. This means that a late show would air in different time slots: either 11 or 11:30 or in some cities, even later. Not until these rerun contracts have expired would they be able to air a late night show at the same time.

Jason Maltby, a top ad buyer states “Without a uniform start time, it would be hard to get traction for a show and hard to promote it. Saying, ‘Check your local listings’ doesn’t have the same ring to it as saying, ‘ The Tonight Show at 11:35 p.m.’ ”

If Fox and Coco aren’t able to reach a deal, then O’Brien plans to look to cable. Meanwhile, he is set to start his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour in April. “It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house.” Good choice Coco. Click here for details.

Just the other week I was telling my husband how awesome it would be if there was a Predator movie where humans go to the Predator’s home planet and all hell breaks loose. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that my dream had come true! On July 7, 2010 a new chapter in the Predator saga will begin. The cast will feature Laurence Fishburne, Topher Grace, Adrian Brody, and Danny Trejo. With a screenplay by Robert Rodriquez I’m sure it won’t disappoint.

Attention 24 fans! (the few that remain) Now I know this season hasn’t been that great and I know it’s hard to keep your loyalty when the quality has obviously declined, but do you really wanna see Jack Bauer gone? If you’re like me and love the occasional torture, betrayals, blackmailing and “Dammit!” then the answer is no. Fear not, for NBC is in talks with Fox about picking up 24. More after the break.

This is the eighth season of 24 and because of the declining ratings and rising costs it was reported that it may be its last. Yes, it looked like 24 was destined to become another canceled Fox show. However, 20th Century Fox has approached NBC about picking up 24 if Fox decides to cancel it. An insider at NBC stated “There’s definitely some interest.”

The 24 execs had been planning on making a 24 movie for a long time, but couldn’t while the series was still on the air. So if it does get canceled and NBC doesn’t pick it up then Jack still might have a chance for a comeback.

But is it a lost cause? Did 24 get so bad that there’s no way of making it as good as it used to be? Only time will tell.

Unfortunately, your time may be up Jack.

Film Director, Peter Cooper, hardly tweets on his upcoming fan film’s Twitter account, OpChastity. But today, has has tweeted (or twatted?) some great news about the progress of his upcoming Halo fan feature film.

There’s a buzz in the air. Talk of a teaser trailer. Exciting times.

Don’t know what all this Operation Chastity stuff is about? Here, let me school you. A young chap, named Peter Cooper had the bright idea to create his own Halo fan feature film. The word feature means a full length movie. Meaning nothing shorter than an hour. All props, scripts and filming will be coming from him and his team. Not from any big budget movie types like Peter Jackson or Neill Blomkamp.

Yea. This film is going to be big. How big? Peter and his team have already created their own Halo Warthog and debuted it the 2009 London MCM Expo. After their unveiling, I was able to catch up with Peter and do an exclusive interview with him via Skype. Interviewing people from San Diego, CA all the way to London. Ain’t technology great?

To see more about Operation Chastity and follow it’s progress, head over the official website.

Last month it was reported that Christopher Nolan was to serve as a mentor for the new Superman film set to be released in 2011. Since then we haven’t heard much, until now. Nolan sat down for an interview with the LA Times where he revealed a little bit more details about the new Superman movie as well as the third Batman film. More after the break.

While working on the third Batman film, David S. Goyer, Nolan’s long time collaborator, brought up the topic of Superman. If you’re not familiar with Goyer, he wrote the screenplay and story for Batman Begins, story for The Dark Knight, is working on the story for X-Men Origins: Magneto, plus a whole lot more. According to Nolan:

“He basically told me, ‘I have this thought about how you would approach Superman.’ I immediately got it, loved it and thought: That is a way of approaching the story I’ve never seen before that makes it incredibly exciting. We’re approaching it in a not dissimilar way in terms of trying to find an incredible story in a way that audiences can engage with it the way they engage with contemporary action films, I think David’s approach is a very good way of doing just that.”

As a result of this idea, which Nolan is keeping hush about, Goyer is now beginning to write the screenplay with Nolan close by.

What about Batman? Nolan had this to say:

“Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story, and in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story. I’m very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we’ve done with the characters. My brother has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these things don’t go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we’re telling. And it harkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That’s what we do.”

So it looks like we’re only getting one more Batman movie out of Christopher Nolan. But if the new Superman is a hit, then maybe a crossover film between Batman and Superman could be a possibility, like Marvel and The Avengers movie.

When asked about the cast for the third installment of Batman, Nolan stated that key surviving characters from the first two films will be returning and will be played by the same actors. When asked about the villains, Nolan kept his mouth shut but did say for a fact that Mr. Freeze will not be one of them. That’s kind of weird don’t you think? Why would he just single out Mr. Freeze?

Sorry Mr. Freeze, we won't be seeing you anytime soon.

If these don’t seem like a lot of details, well they aren’t, but that’s all he had to say. This is probably due to the fact that these movies are way too early in development to reveal anything big. And besides, it wouldn’t be fun to know everything all at once would it?

Another reason for the little amount of details is that Nolan is busy in post production with his newest movie “Inception” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Inception opens in theaters on July 16 and if you haven’t seen the trailer it looks VERY good. See for yourself.

How cool is that? With that in mind, if you’re lucky enough to live in California, specifically near the Ventura or Pasadena area, every Friday night is Insomniac Cinema. What’s Insomniac Cinema, you ask? Read on to find out.

Did you ever miss out on watching some of the greatest movies on the big screen because you were just too lazy, broke, or not even born yet? Well thanks to Andrew Gualteri, host of Insomniac Cinema, you now have the chance to see some of your old favorites the way they were intended: on the big screen with big sound and a total film experience.

Every Friday night at the Regency theaters in Ventura and Pasadena, Insomniac Cinema hosts movies that haven’t been on the big screen in a long time. This month the showings include: Moulin Rouge, The Outsiders, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Donnie Darko: The Director’s Cut, The Lost Boys and finally The Shining.

Now I know one or even all of those sound good to you. So if you happen to have nothing to do on a Friday night and are in the area, check out one of these great movies. For specific times and locations check insomniaccinema.com.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Christina Ricci in anything spectacular. After the epic-ness of Sleepy Hollow things just started going downhill. Though After.Life (yes, After, period, Life) seems to be the one that will finally bring Ricci back into our good graces, if she ever was in our good graces to begin with. It also doesn’t hurt that Liam Neeson is playing a creepy funeral home director who is the only one that can see Ricci’s corpse but Ricci can’t accept the fact that she’s, well, dead. You can never go wrong with Neeson and that voice of his that could lull you to sleep and scare the crap out of you at the same time.

Apple just released the trailer for After.Life this week and it looks creepy as hell. But, don’t take my word for it, check out the trailer below for yourself.
