The machinima team over at the Sims team have recreated the latest Twilight: New Moon trailer using The Sims 3. For machinima I’ve seen around the net, this looks really good. I mean, the lead actress has more different facial expressions and better acting skills than Kristen Stewart. (boom. face.)

Assassins Creed: Linage (Live Action Trailer)
It seems like Ubisoft is taking a page right out of the Bungie/Microsoft Viral Marketing book.
- Make a live action short film based off of your video game
- Post it in three parts onto YouTube
- ???
- Profit
It worked for both Halo 3 and ODST. I still love watching those films over and over. Something that brings the game to life. Something that makes you want to see an actual live action movie, but hope they don’t and keep it short filmed and straight-to-web.
I can see high sales figures for Assassins Creed 2 from this high quality trailer. The first of 3 parts of the short film hits the web on Oct. 27th. Then the following two parts leading up to the release of Assassins Creed 2.
Toy Story 3 Trailer is full of WIN
Its finally here! The Toy Story 3 trailer is finally on the internets. After watching this, there is not a doubt in my mind that this will be another box office hit. Pixar will always be the best computer animated story tellers of our time. Always making us go thorugh every type of emotion. Especially with Up. Enjoy the trailer. Oh and btw, LOL at Spanish Buzz. Pixar FTW!
The Princess and the Frog Official Trailer
FINALLY! A Disney movie that isn’t digitally animated. Don’t get me wrong, I love Pixar, but man, we needed a break from that stuff. Nostalgia is kicking in, a fully animated cartoon that includes character singing and dancing?! What more can a grown up ask for?!
Iron Man and Wolverine Anime Trailers
There are two trailers for the upcoming Iron Man and Wolverine anime under the production studio Madhouse. The trailers premiered last Friday at the Comic-Con, but was posted last Wednesday on Warren Ellis’ site. According to Ellis, the trailers are “intended to show off the style of the piece only.”
The story of the Wolverine anime is based off of an early 1980s Wolverine miniseries by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller and according to Ellis, is “a little…different.” It is also directed by Rintaro, director of the anime adaptation of Metropolis (2001).
I personally liked Rintaro’s Metropolis and I thought the trailers for both are interesting. I could see a bit of Rintaro’s style in the Wolverine trailer, but we shall see how it pans out when they are released.
