Review – Transformers: Lost Light #4

Rodimus’ crew is marooned in a parallel universe where the bad guys are still in control and about to destroy anybody who isn’t “useful.” In the regular universe the “lucky” folks are just getting their feelings eviscerated, if they’re not getting literally eviscerated. So, a typical Wednesday then?

Whether you’ve read Neil Gaiman’s American Gods or not, whether you’re waiting for the mini-series or didn’t even know it was a thing, you should definitely check out Dark Horse’s new comic book adaptation. Review – Transformers Till All Are One #7

When we last saw everybody, an army of undead Titans was destroying Cybertron and Starscream had swallowed his pride enough to ask Elita One for help. And she refused. You’d have expected Starscream to suggest doing something sneaky and unethical at this point, but it was Windblade who volunteered to sneak behind Elita’s back, to interface with the Titan Carcer and convince him to help. This issue we get to see how successful (?) that plan was. See below for a quick look at Transformers: Till All Are One #7.

Review: Compendium – Artifacts of Lumin Book One

Lumin is a forest world, with trees who’s roots reach all the way to the planet’s core. The lives of the people of Lumin are closely entwined with those trees. Maybe too entwined; after using the energy that flows through the forests to power every aspect of society, the Core is heating up and the trees themselves are dying. There’s only one way to reverse the damage: shut down the entire Network, cutting off all advanced technology that feeds off the trees and throwing the planet into a new dark age. The Core will stay sealed for as long as it takes the planet to heal.

More than six hundred years later, a young woman named Mia stumbles across a treasure in the Archives of the Order of Vis Firmitas. The treasure is a book, hidden away for centuries. The history of an ancient battle and the key to the lost technology of the planet may be contained inside the mysterious artifact that slowly comes to life in Mia’s hands: the Compendium.
