Black Widow and Punisher come to Marvel Animation

Following yesterday’s announcement of DC Animated’s Son of Batman, today Marvel Animation has released a trailer for their first animated movie since Hulk Vs. (motion comics are too creepy to count).  From Madhouse Studios, who made the anime styled Iron Man, Wolverine, and X-Men cartoons that are better than you’d think, comes an original story featuring Black Widow (Jennifer Carpenter) and the Punisher (Brian Bloom). Oh, and guest starring the Avengers and SHIELD.

The Son of Batman is Coming

Yesterday TV Guide (another source of geek news apparently) released the first trailer for the next DC Original Animated movie following Justice League: War.  Based of off Grant Morrison’s Batman and Son story line where he first introduced Damian Wayne, the preteen son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul.  In the story the young assassin becomes the next Robin after Tim Drake, but his training from the League of Shadows clashes with the rules of the bat as Damian proves himself to be utterly ruthless.

Game of Thrones Season 4 – Release Date

We’ve finally got a release date for Game of Thrones Season 4. Its grand return is due on April 6th. And HBO decided to kick off the countdown with a pretty amazing trailer.

It seems like there are far too many shows out there. The only good part is that when a show goes on a break another seems to be starting up again, such as with The Walking Dead and the return of Sherlock. Personally, I’ve been waiting to get back into Westeros. After the fabled “Red Wedding”, I’ve been on the edge of my seat and too lazy to read the books.

Tomb Raider Definitive Edition announced for next-gen systems

The critically-acclaimed reboot of Tomb Raider is coming to next-generation systems as Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on January 28th, 2014 for $59.99.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has been “fully re-built” for the XBox One and Playstation 4. “This was a continued labor of love,” said Crystal Dynamics Executive Producer Scot Amos.  We pulled the game apart and rebuilt it with painstaking detail to add enhanced visual storytelling but without changing the award winning tale. The end result is a cinematic living world.”

A remake may seem a little earlier, but it isn’t terribly surprising considering the game’s release date at the tail end of the PS3/360 era. The remake features revolutionary new graphics, a brand-new redesigned model for Lara with even more detailed effects, and all currently released downloadable content.
