WONDERCON 2015: Batman Unlimited Interviews Pt 2

The legend of Batman continues this week as Warner Bros. Animation releases Batman Unlimited: Animal Instinct on BluRay, DVD, and digitally everywhere. Although audiences may be more used to the darker and more intense Batman from Warner Bros. and DC’s usually straight-to-video releases, Batman Unlimited has lightened the tone for a larger family viewership, but is keeping all the action of Batman’s previous television stints. In this animated adventure the cape crusader faces off against a menagerie of DC’s most animalistic antagonists: The Penguin, Cheetah, and Silverback. This threat to Gotham is so huge that even the Dark Knight won’t be able to handle it by himself, so enter Nightwing, Red Robin, Green Arrow, and of course The Flash to help save the day!

While at this year’s WonderCon in Anaheim we got to catch up with the incredible voice talent of Roger Craig Smith (Batman), Yuri Lowenthral (Red Robin), Will Friedle (Nightwing) and writer Heath Corson to talk to them about DC’s latest animated feature and the return of Batman to the all-ages audience.

Movie Issues: Star Wars Celebration

This week instead of watching a movie they have a sit down conversation about all the summer movies coming out, the big trailers from last week, and all about Star Wars Celebration. It’s a little different from most shows where they just blast a crappy flick each week. Oh wait…. they still manage that, too. Glad to know they keep it real. So please download and listen in as they travel to a galaxy far far away.  Read On

Review: Batman vs Robin – Did anyone read the Books?

As one of DC’s most popular characters, Batman has no shortage of excellent story arcs. In recent years though, none have kept me on the edge of my seat quite like Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s run on Batman featuring the Court of Owls. It seemed like the glimmering diamond in the New 52, and when Batman vs Robin was first announced, it seemed like my dreams had true; Court of Owls and the Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason run of Batman & Robin would finally be melded into one animated feature. It’s DC Animation; their track record is solid. What could possibly go wrong?

Comic Issues #219 – The Force Awakens Every Geek Everywhere

There was no way around it, this week Anthony and Elizabeth talk about last week’s Star Wars VII The Force Awakens 2nd teaser and all of the shenanigans that came out of Star Wars Celebration. Together they swoon over the downed Star Destroyer, debate who’s making the lightsaber hand-off, and ponder the ways of The Force. Along the road the podcasting dynamic duo also pick up a dusty hitchiker named Batman v Superman and Anthony discusses his possible insanity.

WonderCon 2015 – Batman v Robin Interviews

This week DC Entertainment released the latest in their line of straight-to-home-video animated movies mostly based on storylines from the comics. Not letting the dust settle on their last release, January’s Throne of Atlanis, they bring us Batman v Robin, starring returning voice actors Jason O’Mara, Stuart Allan, and Sean Maher along with Jeremy Sisto as the villain, Talon. While at WonderCon this year our favorite Villainous Correspondents Sara Winchester and Skratch Okami spoke with some of the cast and crew about coming back to Gotham City with one of Batman’s greatest stories in recent time and what it was like putting on the tights again… metaphorically that is… maybe.
