Binary System #50 – Fifty Episodes. Still no plan.

It’s the 50th episode of Binary System Podcast! What do we have planned? Absolutely nothing! Seriously, are you surprised? After 50 episodes if you think we’ve got a game plan we’d like to talk to you about this section of prime real estate in the Everglades, lovely spot, we’ll just need your credit card number…

Seriously though, we tackled this episode with all the randomness we could put behind it, and jumped from Penny Dreadful to Stranger Things, Mr. Robot, the Foreigner Series, Game of Thrones, the Craft Sequence, Neil Gaiman, Chuck Palahniuk, prom night, Civil War 2, time travel, the Thessaliad, Sins of the Wreckers, Transformers that break, and being surprisingly girly about it. Don’t judge.

Binary System Podcast #46 – SDCC 2016 Debrief

Elizabeth’s back from San Diego Comic-Con and Kathryn’s had a cold kicking her butt for a week so we’re both brain dead and rambling. That’s the kind of podcast we like best. (No one who knows us is surprised.)

Listen in as we debrief on Nerdigras (Nerd Mecca if you will) and spaz out about Civil War II, Dave McKean, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Doctor Strange, Moffat, and more.

Binary System Podcast #41 – WTNV #90 “Who’s A Good Boy, Part 2”

The chaos in Night Vale comes to a crashing finale as the whole town joins in the battle. In the end, what happened? We can’t tell you. Seriously. We have no idea. Lots of opinions though.

After the recap we were all over the place, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Civil War II, Saga, Cowboy Bebop, Lucifer, the Fall, and any other distraction we could fit in a half hour.

Review: Marvel’s Captain America – Civil War Prelude

The new Captain America movie is doing really well, and I’ll most likely go to see it in a week or so, once the initial crush dies down a little. While I wait, I decided to check out Marvel’s new graphic novel Captain America – Civil War Prelude, collecting all four issues of the Civil War Prequel comics, plus the first issue of the 2006 Marvel Civil War storyline that inspired the movie.

If you’re a diehard fan of Captain America and Iron Man and/or you’re a completist who’s dedicated to having everything Marvel’s released for those two characters then this is a graphic novel for you. Everyone else? You’re better off just seeing the movies again.

Review – Captain America: Civil War

I just got back from Captain America: Civil War and wanted to write a review while it was still fresh in my brain. I really liked it, and I definitely thought it was worth the wait.

That’s it. Goodnight everybody!

Kidding. It’d be a pretty boring review if I didn’t have at least a couple minor quibbles. But honestly, not as many quibbles as I thought I’d have: this one was hyped half to death, and it stood up to the hype better than I expected.

Marvel releases Civil War II teasers

Coming this June, the new Civil War begins in the Marvel Universe. Once I found out it was a Brian Bendis/David Marquez book I was ready to spend all the money on it (check out the first few issues of Invincible Iron Man if you want to see what I mean.)

Now Marvel’s released two new teaser images from Jim Cheung, letting us know a little more about who’s on whose side. Click the jump for the teaser images and a few words from Marvel about Civil War II.
