Photo Gallery – Hasbro SDCC Exclusive: Voyager Class Optimus Prime

I finally got the chance to unbox one of Hasbro’s SDCC 2017 Exclusives: the Transformers The Last Knight Voyager Class Optimus Prime. The details are excellent, the figure is sturdy and easily posed, and I had a great time getting photos (much to the amusement of my neighbors, who you think would be used to seeing outdoor Transformer photo shoots by now.) See below for all the pics!

SDCC 2017 – Photo Gallery #8 – Toys and more

While we wish had all the money to buy all the things at Comic-Con, sometimes you’ve just gotta do the next best thing: take tons of pictures of the pretty, pretty toys. Check out the gallery of the ones that caught my eye at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. (With bonus pics of the sales floor and the first drink of the 2017 Pixelated Geek post-Comic-Con-wrap-up.)

Marvel Collector Corps. Unboxing

Marvel Collector Corps. Unboxing

The subscription box seems to be all the rage these days. Probably most notably, Loot Crate has brought it to the attention of geeks world wide, but in their wake Nerd Block has taken the same formula and expanded upon it. With the success of several other companies delivering their goods to your door you can now get razors and shaving supplies, beauty care supplies, e-liquids, dinner, snacks for your pets, and even fresh underwear. It’d be weird if it wasn’t so common.

Well count Marvel Comics in on the monthly box subscription game as this month they released their first in a series of bi-monthly collector boxes filled with that sweet, sweet Marvel goodness that geeks have come to know and love. If you didn’t know that there was even a box to be had, don’t worry, most people didn’t, but Anthony & Ashley of Two Geeks and a Podcast are here with their first unboxing video to show you whether or not the box is worth the cost.

[SDCC 2014] All Those Wonderful Toys

We’ve collected together a few photos of the collectibles we liked best, the stuff we’d want to decorate our own geek lairs.

Spare Change: Gears of War 3 Retro Lancer

Posted by: |

The Gears of War franchise has spawned tons of merchandise over the years. Here is a look at one of my favorites, The Retro Lancer.

The Retro Lancer replica is over three and half feet long. The size of it helps put into perspective how big the characters are to wield this gun. When you fire it, it sounds like a toy gun, but the detail on this replica is fantastic. It will look epic hanging over the fire place. If you truly love Gears of War and can afford the retail price of $99.99, it is a fantastic addition to your collection.

[Comic Con 2010] Preview Night Highlights – Weta Workshop

Those of you who haven’t heard of weta workshop, obviously have been hiding under a rock, they are one of the most popular physical and digital prop workshops in the film industry today, and at their SDCC booth they had a few full size District 9 items left,  only 2 of the full size alien refugee weapons.  That’s only 2 hours into preview night.

They also had a lot of other cool toys, including some awesome ray guns, and other awesome figurines. Go past the break for photos from their booth.
