I’m a massive fan of the Command and Conquer series and have played every one of them since the initial iconic Command and Conquer. So I was pretty giddy when I heard the news that EA is bringing the Red Alert RTS universe to the iPhone with Command and Conquer Red Alert for iPhone and iPod touch. All the best bits of the franchise seem to be there, with combat between Allied and the Soviets taking centre stage. From what I can tell the mechanics of the RTS action on the small screen have been well worked out, including base building and R&D elements that help you upgrade your weaponry.
