SDCC 2012 – Cosplay Part 2

Our San Diego International Comic Con coverage continues with a fresh batch of cosplay.

While cruising the floor it was pretty amazing to see all the different types of cosplay. (I think the oddest was the sudden flux of Jetsons cosplay, as we saw both Daughter Judy and Rosie the robot.) Another  worthy mention this year was the spot on Lion-O of ThunderCats fame.

ComiKaze Cosplay Gallery

Ah, the joys of November: not just food and family, but cosplay and comic book conventions. The crew from Comic Issues made a trip to cover ComiKaze’s debut expo. Since it was a new convention, we weren’t sure what to expect. But there were tons of surprises, including Stan Lee (nuff said)!

For a full description of the convention, tune in this Wednesday for the latest episode of the Comic Issues Podcast. Until then, enjoy this photo gallery of cosplay fun.

[Comic Con 2011] Day 4 – The Last Gallery of the Cosplayers and Booth Babes

The last day of Comic Con came and went. I’m a little sad that it’s done, honestly. No more amazing costumes to check out, no more hotties walking around, and no more random nerdy fun. On the other side, though, my feet are glad that it’s all done.

Also, stay tuned for the Comic Con 2011 video montage!

Comic Con is known for the many creative people that work for weeks (and sometimes months) to make the best costume. It’s also known for its many booth babes.  What is not usually featured are the funny hats, which I took pictures of this year.  My obsession must come from the hat simulator game I always play.

Enjoy the photos! We’ll have more of them posted tomorrow.

I Love Chains as Much as the Next Guy But…

Can I have everyone’s attention please?  Turn off your TV, mute your iTunes, stop playing WoW, and just read this for a minute.  Do I have everyone’s undivided attention?

Good.

Now that I do, I have a message for you; by “you” I specifically mean women who like to cosplay.  Ready?  Here it is.

There are other costume options for you to dress up as other than slave Leia!

There I said it.  Geez, that’s a load off my chest, and just to assuage your fears it isn’t just me who thinks this way.

Anime Expo 2011 – Cosplay Gallery

It’s time to get your Cosplay on! With Anime Expo 2011 in full swing this weekend, the crew from Pixelated Geek made its way to LA with very little traffic. Of course with any trip to LA, there was a little here or there, including an overturned vehicle. However James McGinley and myself made it there safely.  Upon arrival, it was clear that this was a whole new convention. With it hitting its 20th anniversary, AX 2011 showcased high-quality cosplay; check it out below!
