Coming November 30th, DC will release New Talent Showcase #1, featuring nine writers new to the DC Universe, all from the DC Writers Workshop held earlier this year and led by Scott Snyder. I’ll admit, my opinion is pretty divided regarding this book, and I have a feeling that’s going to be the opinion of a lot of readers. It’s not just the direction of the story that gives me mixed feelings, but the art too (and seeing as how much I adore Jill Thompson’s art, that’s a bold statement.) DC Rebirth – Sept 14th: Godspeed’s Identity, Naked Guy Gardner and Not so Superman

This week’s books continue to surprise; it feels like the Green Lantern series is back, though under a different name. The book that actually takes place in space is called Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. Then there are books that I normally would’ve never picked up and find myself more than enjoying.

This week we are faced with the aftermath of Godspeed’s attack on Star Labs, Sinestro continuing his whole “feed the Fear Machine” plan, and to top it off who the heck is this Clark Kent? (The non super powered version.) There’s plenty more where that came from, plus my top picks.

DC Rebirth: Sept 7th – Super Cyborgs, Superman’s Best Friend, Secret Identities Revealed and more

I’m actually surprised by now that a Blue Lantern Ring hasn’t found me, as each week I sit down to read the DC Rebirth and I HOPE. Specifically, I hope it continues to be awesome – and so far each week I’ve been surprised that it is. What I’ve been enjoying the most is reading books that normally wouldn’t be on my Pull List.

This week is no different as we see characters return, identities revealed, and deep questions arise about our heroes.

This week in DC Rebirth – Deadshot Batman Team Up, Zombies and a Kryptonian Werewolf?

It’s nice to be reading DC Comics again, and with Rebirth in full swing there have been plenty of choice titles to choose from. After watching the Suicide Squad movie my interest is peaked for some sub characters, in particular Deadshot, Katana, Rick Flag, and let’s not forget, Enchantress.
