E3 Day 3 – Booth Babes

For some strange reason, a bit more booth babes showed up today. Maybe exhibitors knew that the last day of E3 was the day to finally grab the attention of the regular attendee. None of the big name companies had anymore surprises or special announcements. Anywho, I bet you aren’t even reading this. If you are, thank you and enjoy the last collection of booth babe photos from E3. We will take more booth babe photos at our next event, the 2009 San Diego Comic Con in July!

Pictures from E3 Microsoft Party

The last stop for the party train was at a club named “J”.  Microsoft gave us a good time with a small room to demo some games and Windows 7, a nice sized dance floor, a place to mingle and a never ending flow of alcoholic beverages… for free!  Thank you Microsoft for the good times.

Pictures from EA / NOS Energy Drink E3 Party

Our second party stop for the night was at the small EA / NOS Energy Drink party.  EA had setup 4 PS3 stations that all had Need for Speed on it.  People were encourage to play and demo the new Need for Speed game and were also told that the winner with the fastest time would get into the drawing for a new BMW. Wow.  Just like the Riot Games / THQ party, there was an open bar, people dancing, mingling and playing video games.  I love E3 parties.  You could be a geek and play video games and people are ok with it.

Pictures from E3 Riot Games / THQ Party at Lucky Strike

Last night, we hit up three different parties after day two of E3.  The first was Riot Games / THQ Party.  When first walking into Lucky Strike bar, I thought “ok, it’s another mingling party with interesting people and nothing else.”  Glad I was proven wrong when Jamie, Raul and I walked to the back private party area.  Riot Games was giving E3 media a chance to play League of Legends at the bar.  They had set up 10 gaming stations and encouraged people to play a 5v5 match.

If you haven’t heard of League of Legends, imagine this: What if the original creators of the custom Warcraft 3 map, Dota, created their own game? It’s completely seperate form Blizzard, but still with the DotA mechanics and other special features.  That’s what this game is about.  Now, I’m no pro at DotA but, if you have general RTS knowledge, you should be able to quickly pick up this game.

League of Legends has all the DotA fun from WC3, but with an easier store for upgrades and an easier UI to play with.  I’ll review the game more when we get to beta test it. Until then, here are some photos form the party.

E3 Day 2 – Booth Babes

This years E3 doesn’t have as many booth babes as I thought it would.  Here are the ones I found around both show floors yesterday.

Pictures from DigitalLA / GirlGamer.com E3 party

Thank you to DigitalLA and GirlGamer.com for hosting a cute little party.  We got to see 8 Bit weapon perform with their NES system, Commadore 64, Apple MacBook, and some other cute tech toys to make their unique music live.  You could tell a lot of people were tired from E3 day one, so more mingling than dancing happend.  Here are a couple pics from the party.  A video of 8 bit weapon’s performance will be posted later on today.

E3 Day 1 – Costumes

I was very much dissapointed at the lack of cosplay at E3.  Why aren’t people coming in as their favorite video game characters.  There was only one girl we saw cosplaying as C. Viper from Steet Fighter 4, but it was at the DigitalLA/GamerGirl party. Here is a small collection of photos of costumes seen today.

Photos from Nintendo’s Press Conference at E3

Jamie and I woke up at 5:30am this morning just to get in.  Once in, we had about 2 hours to kill.  So, how did we pass the time? Play Mario Kart DS with 6 other people sitting around us.  Here’s a video of the epic race:

After the race we had to put our DS’s away and watch the big screen that was streaming the live press conference for us.  Here are some pictures from the event:

E3 Day 1 Booth Babes

We’ve all heard that E3 was going to let hired cleavage back into the show floor. There didn’t seem to be a lot of them today, but here are the booth babes we found:
